Yes! The AC-ROV is suitable for operations within the Nuclear Industry.  In the past radiation has been known to penetrate the structure of Micro ROV's and fry the vehicle controller board thus rendering the unit a dead sub stranded at the work site.  Having sensitive electronic components exposed to the levels of radiation encountered in hot environments will always be cause for operational reliability issues.  The AC-ROV is unique in this respect, in that the vehicle controller board is topside with each thruster being hard wired down the tether individually.

With little effort the AC-ROV can be further modified so that there are no boards at all in the vehicle itself with direct (hard wired) feed for video and lighting to the surface.  Should you wish further information on this we have a Nuclear suitability data sheet available and will email on request.
